Nearly 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland found themselves experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems impacted the region, generating powerful gusts reaching over 100 km/h.

Large Ice Stones and Extensive Impact

Residents witnessed giant hailstones measuring up to seven centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that different parts across the state had been hit with significant hail.

The following day was forecast to be the wettest day, with continued thunderstorm potential anticipated across multiple regions of both areas.

Medical authorities cautioned that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, specifically given the ongoing climate situation.
